Core Curriculum
• All courses will meet the University of California A-G requirements for high school graduation;
• All courses will reflect the high expectations of Common Core State Standards;
• Students will have opportunities to take Advanced Placement courses beginning in 10th grade, including AP Environmental Science offered at the Living Coast Discovery Center and AP Language and Culture.
• Students will explore the many Career Domains that can be found in the Bayfront Development Project-- an urban development occurring in our back yard!

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:
Electives
Students at Bayfront Charter High School have opportunities to pursue their interests, talents and passions through a wide range of elective offerings. The size of our school does not limit students in pursing their unique interests in art, music, film, theater, dance, community leadership, game design, coding, etc. Visit our teacher page and see the wide range of interests and talents of our staff! We are also committed to providing elective offerings via creative scheduling and innovative delivery systems (including classroom elective courses, on-line options, technology-assisted, distance learning, community-based, one on one instructor, internship, etc.)
4 by 4 Block Schedule
Bayfront Charter High School will feature the "4 by 4 Block Schedule" which is designed to provide students greater options and opportunities in class selections each year. Students are assigned one set of 4 classes for the first half of the year (July to December) and another set of 4 classes for the second half of the year (January to June). Just like in college! In addition, each class is :90 long—giving students and teachers plenty of time to complete in-depth work and projects each day.
